Summary:
Under the direction of the Special Education Coordinator, assist certificated teachers in reinforcing instruction to individuals or small groups of students; monitor and report student progress; perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the academic program; other related duties as required.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Support and maintain classroom policies.
Monitor students; direct activities for individuals or small groups of students to reinforce instruction as directed by the teacher.
Assist in the distribution and collection of materials, and in the administration and scoring of a variety of assignments and tests.
Assist in the implementation of the IEP as directed.
Perform routine clerical duties; operate equipment including computers and copy machines.
Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly, patient attitude and general guidance.
Confer with teachers as needed concerning programs and materials to meet student needs.
Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
May require assisting with students' personal needs, including toileting, in conjunction with site nursing staff as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirement Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
Strong record-keeping techniques.
AA Degree, 24-48 semester units of higher education in child development preferred Bilingual ability a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
